Technological Wizardry
The first is a Colorado license plate declaring a message that is true in all 50 states, as well as Puerto Rico and the District of Columbia. This is a teaser for my next real post, which I will hopefully have time to get to in the next couple of days.
The second is a button that links to the XML feed for my blog. If you know what that is, great. If not, ignore it.
The last thing is a link that will help you to add the feed from my blog to your My Yahoo content. It will look something like this:
This will allow you to view new posts through My Yahoo, rather than having to go to my blog to see whether I've posted anything new or not. Let me know if this doesn't work for you, but Amanda and I were both able to get it to work in our own My Yahoo pages. Once it has been added you can customize the options, including how many posts to show and so on. I think it shows up at the bottom of the main column of content on your page by default. It also took it a little while after we added it to actually start working, so give it some time. It started out just showing it as a new "section," but without a title or any content below it. If it still doesn't work after a half-hour or so, let me know and I'll provide more detailed instructions.
Oh, I guess there is one more thing that's new there. It's a tracking thing that helps me to see if anyone has visited my site. It also displays the number of visits the page has received. It's a vanity thing disguised as a "tracking tool." Like I said, I don't care if anyone reads these or not. Well, maybe I do a little.
Until next time, Go Big Red!!!
