A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
On the advice of my good friend Andy Waite, I am starting a blog. I don't know what I'm going to do with it, and I'm certain nobody will want to read it. However, it may be a healthy thing for me as I am a person who can't wait to share my thoughts and newly acquired pieces of data with anyone who will listen. Perhaps this site will provide my family and friends with some much needed relief. After all, most of them care very little about the finer points of Calvinism and how they relate to me being a Particular, Open Baptist (huh?). Neither do they care about the minutia of WWII history, or how vacuum cleaners work, or the historical origin of Thanksgiving and the people who first celebrated it, or what I think is going to happen next on LOST (the best show ever to grace the television, in my opinion).
As I'm composing my first-ever blog I'm beginning to think that I may be a little abnormal. But, from what I've seen, that's one of the prerequisites for having a blog. So, check back as often as you'd like to see what's on my mind and what I'm thinking about (that is, annoying my family and friends about) lately.
